Q: Toyota Rav4?
i want to trade in my 07 pt cruiser for one of these cars . my car has 35,400 miles on it, and worth about 10,000. Sadly i'm having personal issues with the car. please tell me which car would be best for me to trade it in for.
99 Toyota RAV4
77,250 miles $7,588
04 Nissan Altima
54,011 miles $10,525
08 Ford Fushion S
$14,890
6 miles
A: The Nissan Altima is a good choice or the Fusion. Fusion will be higher on insurance, because it's new. But I would talk them down on the Altima, a little high if you look around you may find one for a thousand less. Higher payments on the Altima because older car, Fusion cheaper but longer in years. So it's really up to you cheaper payments or better car.

Atleast i think well theres the picture and thats what i want! omg so freakin bad! whos sellin one?
A: This is actually the last generation of the RAV4 that was redesigned for the 2007 model year. You should have no problem trying to find them in your local classified ads, swap sheets or on dealer lots as a fair number were traded in on the newer model. They looked like that on the Non-Limited models from the 2002-2006 model years. Hope this helps.

Q: Which vehicle is better Mitsubishi Outlander or Toyota RAV4 V6?
I plan to buy either the Mitsubishi Outlander or the Toyota RAV4 V6.
I need experienced / insightful analysis of the benefits/cost analysis/features and long-term performance analysis of both these vehicles when compared to each other.
A: Toyotas run FOREVER.
Q: Is it possible to replace my current '97 toyota rav4 center console with a better one?
My current center console in my 1997 Toyota Rav4 sucks, with no cupholders except for one INSIDE the armrest. I'd like to find one that would fit my car, but that is different.
A: You can see if one from a new model RAV will work.
Q: How do you replace a serpentine belt on a Toyota Rav4?
We're trying to replace a serpentine belt on a Toyota Rav4. The belt is on but not tight enough. We can drive the car but it has no power steering and it is overheating quickly. Please Help! Any advice is appreciated. How do you tighten the belt? Are there any tools required? Also any diagrams you know of would be GREAT! Thanks!!
A: Did you compare the new belt size to the old? I ordered some belts for my truck and one of them was the wrong size.
You didn't say what year it is! Maybe these links will help! you can change the year if needed. My best guess is that it is not routed corectly!
Good luck!

Q: How do you like your Toyota Rav4?
I'm currently in the process of doing some research for a new car and am very interested in the Toyota Rav4's. Just wanted to know how people like, or don't like, theirs, it seems like it would be a good fit for my husband and I to have with our dog and eventually a family?! Any thoughts?
A: Well... The RAV4 has always been a favourite vehicle... It has great looks, good gas milage, above avg. reliability rating, good performance and sufficient space.. I don't own a RAV4 but my friend does and he's completely delighted over it. I too am impressed by it.. You shouldn't be worried to consider a RAV 4 with all its plus points plus it has a good re-sale value too... Very few vehicles can match it... Since you can't buy the Nissan X-Trail in the US, don't think twice, just go for the RAV4.
Q: Should I get a Toyota RAV4 or a Subaru Forester?
I have been doing research on crossover suv's and I think I have narrowed it down to the Toyota RAV4 and the Subaru Forester. Has anyone had any experience with either vehicles? Any known problems? Which one would cost less to maintain or fix?
A: subaru are better over all less problems them the rav4
Q: What does "shift lock" button do on my toyota rav4?
Ive got a toyota rav4 and where the gears are (on the flat bit near where the letters P and R, etc) there is a small round cyliner button poking up and next to it it says "shift lock"
i pushed this button out of curiosity and its locked my gear stick! how do i stop it and get it back to how it was?! what hav i done?
A: there should be a small button or keyhole near the gearshift, hit the button or stick your car-key in the hole and turn it. you just HAD to press that button didn't you?(i would've done the same thing)
Q: toyota rav4?
how do I check my transmission fluid?
older rav 4. I think 1998.
A: If yours is an automatic, you should have a dipstick on the front side of the transmission. you will need to have the vehicle running to check. If low, fill through the same tube the dipstick came out of.
If you have a manual transmission, you have a fill plug on the bottom front of the transmission. Take the plug out and stick your finger in the hole. If you feel fluid at the hole, then it's full, but if you don't feel it, add half a quart and recheck.
Hope this helps!

Q: how do you put a subwoofer in a Toyota 08 rav4 with a navigation system installed?
I have a 08 Toyota Rav4 with a standard upgrade to the in dash navagation syste which is also my cd player.
How do i connect amps and subs to this. since i have a 4k system just sitting there.
thanks
A: You have a couple of different options and they depend on the money you decide to spend. You can start off by using a Line Level Converter, which is the simplest. All it does is change the sound level you get from the wires that run from the deck to the speakers to something lower for the amp to handle). You could also get into using the newer components that hook into the factory radio that are to an extent an EQ built just for what you want to do. They offer RCA outputs for amplifiers and adjustments to bring out the frequencies that are lost using a factory deck. You are looking at anywhere from 30 dollars or less to over 400 dollars. Again, just depends on what you want to do.

Q: I need to replace my soft top on my 1999 Toyota Rav4, where can I get one?
I need to replace my soft top on my 1999 Toyota Rav4, where can I get one?
A: The parts department at your local Toyota dealership. The part number is 65801-0W010-C0 (those are zero's in the part number, not the letter "O"). The MSRP is $1003.11
Q: My family is planning on buying a new car, which is better, the Mercury Mariner or the Toyota Rav4?
What pro's and con's do each of these have? Right now, the Merucry Mariner looks more appealing to my family and I, but we want to compair and contrast it to the Toyota Rav4. Which is better and tell why.
A: The RAV4 is a better value in my opinion... Mercury being a ford affiliated brand will not have great resale value and reliablity... Plus, do you want your car warranty to be from a company which lost over $12billion last year (I think that is about $2k a minute and $400 a second they lost)...
I sell toyotas and own toyotas...
Which model, engine,4x4 or 2wd RAV4 are you thinking of? I can give you better pro's to buy a toyota then and it will help you in the long run by making a educated decision.
Q: My boyfriend and I want to exchange my toyota Rav4, for another car, but is it worth it?
Okay, so heres the story, I have a Toyota Rav4, that I bought in 2005, up until now the balance is $13,900 around there, and both me and my boyfriend want another car for me, since I've always wanted a small girly car, but how is the whole process of exchanging? Is it worth it? What happens to all the payments I made in the last two years?
A: It depends on what the car is worth to whoever is willing to buy it. If you sell the car yourself and can get the $13.9K then you can pay off your loan and start fresh with a new car.
However if you can only find someone who is willing to pay $10K for the car, you'll need to find some way to pay off the balance ($13.9K-10K = $3.9K). Means you need to find $3900 to pay off your debt for the car.
If you can sell if for more than it's worth, say you find a buyer willing to pay $15K, then you get to keep the difference ($15K-13.9K = $1.1K). Means the 2 years you've been paying the car off amounted to $1100.
If you go to a dealership to trade in the car, everything works pretty much the same, however they typically will only offer you what they feel the car is worth to them. Any difference in amount will be applied to your new car's loan balance. So if a dealership is only willing to pay $10K for your old car, they will typically add the $3.9K loan difference to your new loan. If they are willing to pay $15K, then they will reduce your new loan balance by the $1.1K
Is it worth it is really up to you to decide how long you want to continue to carry a loan balance, how much it will cost you or benefit you.
